Dear Club Member
The Directors, Management
Team and Staff of the Louth Indoor Bowling Club trust that you are staying safe
and well through these challenging times although I am sure that you will be
rather frustrated that our bowling interests have been curtailed at the present
time.
We have throughout the past months made
every effort to maintain your safety with all the covid
protocols in place and adapted to the various guidelines that have been advised
by the national E.I.B.A. advisory body for bowling and I am sure that you have
all appreciated the tremendous work that Simon, Tina and the team have carried
out over the months when bowling was allowed to ensure that you enjoyed the
sport and camaraderie that goes with it.
The year 2020
has been challenging from a business point of view as well and whilst we have
managed to secure the various grants and used the furlough schemes to support
the business, we will unfortunately anticipate making a financial loss this
year.
With the
current restrictions in place and uncertainty of exactly when a full bowling
programme can be available along with the other income sources (catering, the
bridge club activities, slimming world and the other uses of the function room)
2021 looks likely to be more challenging from a financial situation than we
have known previously.
Subscription
for 2021 will be increased to £50.00 per year, locker fees will remain the same
at £5.00 and fall due on the 1st January, however with the
uncertainty of when we can restart bowling and to give time for the vaccination
programme to roll out and members to be comfortable to return safely to the
community environment payment can be made between 1st January and
the 31st March when hopefully life will have returned to more normal
lifestyle.
We hopefully
have understood the frustrations of the past months and I am sure you
understand the situation from a business angle and naturally from a cash flow
point of view early payments would be appreciated but not at the detriment of
losing members until you are comfortable with the situation. Until we can
reopen payments can be made by cheque
or by bank transfer to Louth & District Indoor
Bowling Club Ltd account sort code 30-95-22 account number 00275056 and please
quote your name on the payment.
I sincerely
hope you understand the situation and appreciate that we continue to provide
all the facilities and bowling for each of you at a fair and reasonable cost
given the current protocols and limited other sources of income.
Your continued
support and enjoyment of bowling is our primary aim and hope to be able to meet
on the bowling green in the near future.
Should you have
any concerns or questions please contact Derek Blow on the following,
home, 01507 606508, mobile 07721 738287, e-mail dandablow@btinternet.com
We take the
opportunity to wish you all the very best for Christmas and New Year
Stay safe and well.
Kind regards Derek Blow
