would like to thank all of those members who returned their survey forms over
the last couple of weeks, the response was very encouraging. We can now turn
our attention to the organising of the Summer Leagues where many of you have
expressed interest in playing. We have lots of members wanting to play but very
few people interested in running teams. If you do fancy having a go at being a
team captain please contact us on the numbers below as we can easily sort you
some players out. Anyone who hasn’t yet replied and wishes to take part in the Summer
Leagues can they please return the form as soon as possible as places are
filling up quickly, we can accommodate a few more people in the Morning Triples
and Australian Pairs leagues and have a little more space in the Thursday
Dear Bowls Club
Directors and Staff of the Louth Indoor Bowling Club trust that you are all staying
safe and well although no doubt missing the bowling and social activities that
we all enjoy so much.
The Government have laid out the road
map for the months ahead and following conversations with our own governing
body the E.I.B.A, Louth Indoor Bowling Club can now outline our road map
subject to the data allowing us to progress in the appropriate manner.
It is anticipated that the Club will
reopen to allow rinks to be booked for bowling by individuals on a rink or
family units from Tuesday 4th May (please pre book your rink time by
telephoning Simon or Tina on 01507 608147 if before 4th May to
confirm availability) and that the summer league and Bowls Drive programme will
start on Tuesday 18th May and the winter league programme on Monday
20th September. Please note that there will be no refreshments
served before the 18th May due to covid restrictions but a full
service from the kitchen and bar will commence on the 18th May.
The Directors and Management Team
appreciate how challenging the past twelve months have been both in our
personal lives, financially and our freedom to enjoy all the things we have
done as a natural everyday occurrence, also an understanding of the comments
that have been received that all members have had limited value from the annual
subscriptions and inconvenience. We are also sure that you as a valued member
appreciate the financial implication that the past months have had on the Louth
The Directors have seriously considered
the impact of the past twelve months on the business and your valued membership
and have taken the decision to delay the payment of the annual subscription and
reposition the annual payment to the 1stSeptember 2021 for the year
2021 to 31st August 2022 at the current £50.00 to reflect the loss
of bowling over the past months for our members. Subsequent years subscriptions
will fall due on the 1st September. However, anyone wishing to play
during this summer that hasn’t renewed their membership must do so before they
start playing but their membership will run until 31st August 2022.
Until we can reopen payments can be
made by cheque or by bank transfer to Louth & District Indoor Bowling Club
Ltd account sort code 30-95-22 account number 00275056 and please quote your
name on the payment.
Attached to this letter you will find
a short survey and we kindly ask that you complete and return in the prepaid
envelope by 20th March to enable the planning of the summer leagues,
winter leagues and entry of the teams in the club county matches to proceed.
Your continued support and enjoyment
of bowling is our primary aim and hope to be able to meet on the bowling green
in the very near future.
